As ever. Brief Personality Description: Seductive, manipulative, ruthless, charming, disciplined, hedonistic, controlled. Very, very controlled. If he doesn't want you to know what he's thinking, you won't. Dislikes attempts to control or manipulate him. Brief History: Born to a peasant family in 17th century France, Jean-Claude was selected as the whipping boy for a local noble family and still bears faint scars from this. Shortly after reaching the age of 30, he was killed and raised as a vampire by one of Belle Morte's bloodline, a line known for remarkable physical beauty and sexual attraction. As part of his change, he gained the power of "ardeur", the ability to feed from sexual energy. The power was a two-edged blade, as if the ardeur is unfed, it becomes an overpowering need, and until Jean-Claude learned to control and maintain his ardeur, it could be - and was - used to control him. He moved from the court of his master to Belle Morte's own court, later leaving with Asher, another vampire, and Julianna, Asher's human servant, and the three lived and traveled together as ménage à trois for twenty years, until they were parted by Julianna's death at the stake and Asher's torture by priests who believed they could cure his vampirism using holy water. To rescue Asher, Jean-Claude returned to Belle Morte, and served her court for a century before joining the service of the Master of the City of St. Louis. He later killed the current Master and rose to the power himself, forming a triumvirate of power with Anita Blake, a necromancer, and Richard Zeeman, an alpha werewolf. The businesses that provide financial support and distraction are, appropriately enough, based around sex, including dance clubs and strip clubs. Anita has recently proved...recalcitrant. Richard is not precisely aiding the situation, and while both are away, Jean-Claude's hold on his city is proving difficult to maintain. Player: Vae | |||||||||
